| | VN GURU | Altmans' Reasons Become Clear... Various sources are reporting that two Razorbacks failed drug tests administered on March 27th and at least one player is on academic probation. Altman obviously saw no reason to clean up a mess not of his own making. |

| | VN Night Watch | Everybody seems to be hating on Altman. At least in the press. I'm on his side. There was obviously some information he was not privy to before accepting the job.

| It's official: My question is- "Only TWO players were tested?" AYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Two Arkansas basketball players tested positive for marijuana recently, and one is under academic suspension -- another black eye for a program that remains without a coach after Dana Altman returned to Creighton on Tuesday.
Altman's departure prompted plenty of speculation around Arkansas, and the athletic department took the unusual step Wednesday of issuing a news release regarding the "rumors, innuendoes and questions."
The school said in the release that two basketball players tested positive for marijuana. Random drug testing, a normal athletic department practice, took place March 27, and although results were received March 29, the school said "appropriate personnel did not receive notification until Tuesday."
The school did not release the names of those who tested positive, citing federal privacy laws.
The school also said one basketball player was suspended for academic reasons. ESPN.com - NCB - Two Arkansas players test positive for marijuana

| Nothing odd about only 2 players being tested in a random test.
It's random, so their not testing everyone.
What's interesting is that only 2 were tested in the random test and both came back positive. |

how about ... the Arkansas Herbal Jazz. I like that! They could then remove that atrocious boar from center court and replace it with a nice big leaf. |

| this makes an already difficult coaching search even tougher.
It's really not a bad job, but it's not looking very attractive right now. |

| Broyles needs to call overseas to Turkey ASAP and see if he can get Cheech Wingate on the phone. I think Cheech would be just the man for the job in Fayetteville. |
