I can't say I like your chances. Every "at risk" franchise in baseball, except the Marlins and Devil Rays, either have a new ballpark or are in the process of building one. Las Vegas has the inside track on the Marlins if an agreement on the stadium issue can't be reached here. I can't imagine baseball is going to expand anytime in the near future.

It's hard to get backing here. It kind of sucks, too. Every time a major sports franchise gets proposed here, we get all this protest about it. But then some crappy franchise like soccer or indoor lacrosse comes along, and the city just welcomes it with open arms.

Portland is a city that's capable of taking on another major franchise, wether or not the idiots here realize it.

I know... Portland's best shot was lost when the Expos moved to DC.
