Should we go ahead and pronounce Miami's season dead?

Heat take another hit as Wade injures shoulder - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

Depending on how long Wade is out, I suppose.

If he's out for more than 3 weeks, yes.

I hope the Magic make it in the playoffs, I was wandering if anyone thought Riddick was a good pickup for the Magic?

The crazy thing is, this injury may well give the Heat a shot at Oden or Durant. Without D-Wade, this team has the look of a lottery participant.

FSR reported today that the best case scenario has Wade out about 6 weeks. If there is serious ligament damage, he could miss part of next season.

If accurate, I would like to be the first person to welcome the Miami Heat to the 2007 NBA Draft Lottery.

Excuse me sir, but the Grizzlies definitely have the Heat beat out in the Odom/ Durant sweepstakes. The Griz are astronomically more astute in knowing how to lose a game on so many levels.

True, but no team has yet figured out how to defend against the random bounces of the lottery ping pong balls. Ask Rick Pitino about thinking he was getting Tim Duncan and being forced to settle for Ron Mercer.

Kind of makes you wonder how Shaq will play it if Wade is gone until next year. The old boy doesn't have an unlimited number of games left in him; anyone else wonder whether he'll join his teammate on the DL for the rest of the season with nothing to play for?

I have a question about Wade's injury. Why, if all he had was a dislocated shoulder, did they take him out in a wheel chair?

He didn't have to settle for Mercer...McGrady was available.

Nice pick-up with Billups at the 3 spot that year though.

Not for Pitino, they traded Billups before the season was over.

Yeah, I remember...just noting that, although drafting 3rd, he got the 2nd best player in the draft...it just didn't pay off for Pitino.
