Dumbest rule in SEC Basketball

ESPN.com - INSIDER - Andy Katz Blog

come on....everybody else does it. I say if you beat a top 10 team while being unranked, or beat the #1 team in the nation at home, you should be able to rush the court.

I think it's a good rule. A bunch of amped up students mobbing the floor while the opposing team is still out there is begging for trouble.

If the SEC isn't going to take the lead in academics, at least give them credit for taking the lead in riot control.

I don't look at it as a riot, but more of a celebration

They made the rule because of Blaker. They were afraid that Jedi phones were too dangerous. Maybe they thought the light saber would come out.

we had an incident here in pittsburgh at our rivals high school basketball game, we won by one point and everybody rushed the floor and supposedly our high school principal knocked some kid down of the other high school. The principal still has his job but the parent of the kid he supposdly pushed is some big wig and rumour is he is going to sue the principal. The next time we played them there was so many cops around you couldn't rush the floor.

I'm one that personaly think on court celebrations should be allowed in basketball. Court rushing is far safer than rushing the field in football because most that are injured in field rushes are from downed uprights. It gets the student body and fans more excited about the program and boosters the team pride.

I am personally in favor of on-field celebrations. Heck, we don't get to do them that often.

Seeing that we beat TSU 41-7, I don't think it's from that game. We did, however, beat Georgia this year, 24-20.

I'm the shirtless dude in the sock cap.

Well, it seemed cold, and you seem to be the only one without a shirt, so what does that tell me?
