| 1st pick in the draft Let's say that you have the first pick in the draft and you are taking the best available, who would you take and why? |

| Adrian Peterson. good rb's are a good place to start to build a team around. i'm not sold on any of the qb's in the draft. this draft is real deep in WR....so that's where i'd start.

| I'd take Peterson as well, if I had to pick a qb, it'd be J. Russell |

| Unless there is a homerun QB, I take the best OL or DL. Teams are built from the lines out. |

I would probablt trade down in a year like this and get more picks. It is interesting how unnoticed the Jets previous draft was, no skill position players taken in the first round. They took 2 offensive lineman, that pretty much played all year and contributed to a team that made the playoffs. A team that no one in hell picked to make the playoffs. Meanwhile, teams like the Lions flounder around in mediocrity with their picks. |

It is just a matter of which team is willing to take that chance. As for the 1st pick of the draft, I would take Peterson. He was NFL ready as a Fr. at Oklahoma. He is, by far, the best player in the draft. |

| Wouldn't you say Russell and Vick also have similar arm strength?
Joe Thomas is probably the best lineman in the draft, or the guy from Michigan (Long? Is he even in the draft or am I making that up?), if that's the route you want to go.

| I would take Peterson but it would be very tempting to take Russell. He just seems like a QB that belongs with the Raiders. |

| I wonder what the chances are of Russell or Quinn pulling an Eli and refusing to go to Oakland or Detroit?

They actually have a moderately good defense, and Kiffen could really put some life in the offense after a couple of years. Quinn or Russell could do a lot worse...read Detroit.... |

| Yeah, I thought about that... how it might only happen by whoever Detroit selects.
