What's up with Minnesota's lighting?

It seems everytime I see football or basketball coverage of the Golden Gophers, the lights are too dim. It's very gloomy.

It's suppose to resemble the old "Barn" they use to play in and the old fieldhouse days.

Uh, they still play in the Barn. Williams Arena is one of the oldest arenas in the country.
