Back in the late eighties, while working field camera for local TV, I was able to follow the team from the edge of the stadium to a few yards onto the field. Not really a full run through the "T", but plenty good enough to get me completely pumped...

Strangely, as big a Tennessee fan as I am, all I was thinking at the time was "get the shot, I've only got one chance"... it was much later that it dawned on me that I'd sort of done what many would love to...

I've spread the T while in the Pride. Does that count?

Yes, it does. Pretty cool.

You know, if the band ever going to screw up playing Rocky Top, that would be the time--just as the players emerge from the tunnel. Nobody can hear the song.

unless there was 107000 people there, and 100 football players then no. But still cool.

Well, there weren't many people there during practice, but on gameday that was pretty much the case. Kinda hard to be in the Pride and spread the T without that happening.

I did the same thing during the Georgia game 3 years ago. I was standing beside Justin Harrell when he took off running, that is one massive dude. Unfortunately I was also standing about 10 yards from the dreaded fumble that killed us later.

The highs and lows of football. Bummer the low ruled that day.

Why didn't you fall on the ball or make the tackle since apparently no one on Tennessee's team was interested in doing either.

I might have been momentarily distracted since that was also the end of the field where the Dance Team was standing. You know that might explain why we didn't recover the ball.
