She is dead set on playing the mens tour. That is her goal and the rest is history.

That's not really true. The LPGA in their infinite wisdom will not allow her to be a full fledged member and limits her appearances due to her age. I'd bet that once she is a full time member of the women's tour we'll see less of her in men's events.

She keeps this up and I may give her a run for the money. Well not really. I get into the cooler too much.

I was thinking the same thing. If that's what it takes to play on the PGA Tour, sign me up. I can probably put up comparable numbers.

I doubt it.

Me too . . . People don't realize how hard those courses are set up. I played a tour course from the back tees a couple of months ago and by the 10th hole I felt like I needed to weep between shots.

Big difference from the Gold tips. I was just kidding by the way. Not about the cooler but about the golf.

No doubt. To add to that, the average weekend golfer cheats like hell. Played with many guys that claimed they could shoot in the 90's or better, they seem not to understand that a mulligan here and a move the ball slightly a little here and there, is not really shooting 90.

When sponsors jump ship. As long as they're along for the ride, we'll see Wie ad nauseum.

The LPGA should change rules to allow her to play. But, my statement comes from a direct quote made to the AP in todays paper.
After questioned about these mens tournaments being marketing ploys, Wie replied "I guess being the only girl on the baseball team when I was 4 years old was a marketing plan-not" "It is what I want to do. Some people take it as, 'It's a marketing plan to make more money, blah, blah. But they don't realize its what I want to do and I enjoy it. You can't trade happiness for anything."

On top of that, you can tack on a stroke or two just for having to hole out all the putts.

Agreed . . . A lot of this is fueled by Nike. Personally, I've never understood what the big deal was with letting her play though. If the sponsor wants to have her play for the spectacle and draw fans . . . Why not?
