| Ummm, no offense, but you are crazy if you don't list Barry Sanders as one of the top 5 RBs of all time. Jim Brown is a fine candidate as well.
1. Sanders
2. Brown
3. Payton
4 and 5. About 30 good candidates. |

5.Ladainian Tomlinson | Thurman Thomas, but no Jim Brown, Earl Campbell, Gale Sayers, Eric Dickerson, or Barry Sanders?
Any of the five should be above Thomas. In fact, that is a pretty strong list of 5 by itself.

| Wow, how did I forget about those? You could compile a top 6 of Brown, Campbell, Sayers, Dickerson, Sanders, and Payton in any order and call it a day. |

| Jim Brown is #1 by such a large margin that the debate begins with who's number 2. |

| The only reason I don't have Brown at #2 is because of the era he played in. Had Sanders played on a decent team and played through his prime, he would have crushed the record books. |
