| Arkansas Press Conference
Does anyone have any info on the upcoming press conference?
They just said on the radio here (104.5 the zone) that rumor has it that it is to announce that Mitch Mustaine is transferring. The key here being "rumor has it".
Wasn't Tennessee #2 on his list coming out of HS????  |

Wasn't Tennessee #2 on his list coming out of HS???? | He was Arky all the way but towards the end of the '05 season he reopened his recruitment and talked to UT and ND. The word is that ND shafted him to secure Jimmy Clausen's commitment (n/s I believe that though). I doubt he's transferring. I'm guessing that this is just a news conference to say that Nutt is not leaving and all the players are back on the reservation. Supposedly Mustain's mother posted an appology letter on Arky board appologizing for meeting with the Arky AD. The Apology | |

| Actually ND was #1 on his list after he de-committed but Weis told him he had enough QB and he was targeting JC. That is the story my northern friends tell me. | |

That is the story my northern friends tell me. | that story is correct. my irish friends told me that Weis told his 2 QB's from last years recruiting class (Zach Frazer and Demetrius Jones) that he was only taking 2 QB's... and they were it. The Mustain tried to get in, and Weis denied him. JC was on Weis's radar for sure.
anyway, we don't want Mustain. i think hes overrated... and he just lost 1 year of college football experience to a low-level QB coaching staff. He will be far behind. Are we forgetting that Crompton was a big dog coming out of h.s.? We should stick with him... he shows great promise. | |
