| | Spike Drinks, Not Trees | Arky in meltdown mode Anyone else visited a Hog board today? Persistent rumours that Mitch Mustain and his HS coach are shopping for a new program because Mitch said some negative things about Nutt during his recruitment which are about to be published and now Mitch thinks Nutt will hold it against him in competing for the starters job. There are also some rumblings out of Bammer land that this whole thing may drive Nutt to Tuscaloosa as their new HC. Really good stuff for a Tuesday. |

| | Senior Member | Hmmm, let's see...
-- top three QB recruit leaving the conference after his freshman season
-- a coach on the hotseat at Arkansas coming into the season going to Tuscaloosa
-- the highschool offensive coordinator that invented all of those sandlot gimmick plays that nobody could stop leaving a top 10 SEC team for parts unknown with above mentioned frosh.
Sounds like a bunch of internet garbage to me, but that doesn't mean I don't want it to happen. |

| | I'm Your Huckleberry | Merry Christmas coach Nutt, and Happy New Year. He has to wake up everyday and wonder where he might be, had he taken the Nebraska job.
I find it interesting that Broyles would actually meet with those parents. If I were McFadden's mom, I would get my meeting scheduled too. I wouldn't want my son's carries going to some soph QB with loud mouthed parents. |

| | Demon Dog | since when did the SEC become a pee wee league where th parents control the playing time for the kids...this spells disaster for that tema - especially if it continues. this will brew nothing but discontent on behalf of the other players. |

| That is the most ridiculous thing I have read in a long time. The inmates do not run the asylum and if I were Nutt I would be calling Alabama or BC. It sounds like the Springdale contigent is going to run Nutt out and demand their coach be named head coach.

| After reading about the parents, it reminds me of the Friday Night Lights movie with the parents meeting with the coach. |

| | Senior Member | From the Article:
"Parents for Arkansas freshman football players Mitch Mustain, Damian Williams and Ben Cleveland met with Razorbacks Athletic Director Frank Broyles last week to discuss concerns about the direction of the football program. "
Arkansas goes from 4-7, 2-6 in '05 to 10-3, 7-1 West Champions with a top 12 ranking and a New Year's Day bowl and people are questioning the direction of the program?
That tells me all I need to know about Arkansas football. |
