| UF or UM: Paul Maguire's arguments I know the Florida/Michigan debate is yesterday's news, but I just have to ask if anyone heard Paul Maguire on The Herd yesterday (12/7) and The Dan Patrick show today (12/8).
He has the most ILLOGICAL "Michigan should have gotten a rematch" arguments I have ever heard (How is this guy on TV?):
(1) There was an Ali vs. Frazier II wasn't there? (Those are apples and oranges, Paul.)
(2) If Florida wins, who is the national champion? Auburn? (This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.)
(3) We've (ESPN) done a few Michigan games, and I think they're better. (This doesn't even merit comment.)
I think there's a reason Paul was sent to ride the little sideline truck with the line-of-scrimmage cameraman... |

I hate Florida GAYtor football more than anything, but they really deserve it more (plus I cheer for all SEC teams when they're out of conference). |

SEC team or not, it's a painful proposition in my book... |

| Colin Cowherd also had a spot the other day absolutley bashing message board posters and Alabama message board posters more specifically.
It was funny and actually all true. He was clowning on people who have "inside sources" and come to a message board to talk about them.
Cowherd is good. Better than Dan Patrick when him and Olberman have their daily love fest. Man I hate Keith Olberman |

Vol Nasty, I definitely agree that Cowherd is the best on ESPN Radio. He seems to be the most objective. |

I hate Florida with passion but after this huge mess and the Big 10 fans running their mouth about Michigan not getting their chance and Ohio State being unbeatable.........
Even though I hate to say it I hope Florida runs them into the dajim ground. And I hope every SEC Big10 matchup the SEC just kills them. If the SEC doesn't step up and play ball this year in the bowls we're going to hear it all next season from the northerners. |

| i agree with bigvolnasty. it is very hard to root for florida!! if Tennessee had no benefit from that then i wouldntbut everytime Florida wins, unless they play us, Tennessee looks better if they win.... no matter if we lose or win to them, if they win we look better.. |

| To me the SEC is like family. The other teams are like brothers and sisters to UT. We can make fun of their fans, talk bad about their teams, downright dislike them and that's fine. But anyone outside the family better not say anything about my brothers and sisters. I almost always pull for the SEC team, unless UT can benefit from them losing. |

| it's really simple, Michigan didn't win their conference. If you aren't conference champion, you shouldn't get to play for the NC. I could care less if that freezes out Notre Dame and other so-called "independents". Michigan also lost late, which didn't help them either.

| rooting for FL is not an easy proposition...but given that they are playing OSU, whom i also hate, i'll go with the lesser of two evils and boil it down to converence affiliations...so in my head, "gators" on the helment will be replaced wtih "sec"...so i'll say Go SEC!...if they were playing another team from another conf. (USC, TX, OK etc...) i'd likely root against them.
