At UAB that is. Watson Brown will move back to AD and Pat Sullivan will be the new head coach.

| I think Sullivan was looking at another job. If he left, WB might have been out completely. I think it was the only way he could stay at UAB (my speculation). Official announcement this afternoon.
The football program hit a low this year after gaining some momentum of the last few years.
The same BOT that is paying Shula $4 million to leave and reportedly writing a blank check for the new coach doesn't quite have the same attitude about UAB

| Yep, when the BOT is primarily made up of alums from the Capstone including one Paul Bryant Jr., there's not a lot of interest in having a competitive team in Birmingham

Compare that to a program like USF where they built it right and 10 years or so after entering D1, they're in a BCS conference and getting some big wins (Louisville last year, WVU this year).
