| NFL coaches in suits What is the reason for this? I have seen a couple NFL coaches in suits but don't know why they are dressing this way? |

| Mike Nolan of the 49ers asked the leauge for permission to do so earlier this season. His father dressed this way when he was a coach and he felt that it would add a sense of professionalism and class to the sidelines.
He was denied at first, but was allowed to do so for the first time yesterday.

| It's a cool change, just something different.
My first thought tonight when they were showing a split screen of the coaches was, "Why are they showing the owner/GM/team president opposite of Coughlin? And why is he wearing a headset? Oh, it's Jack Del Rio."

He was denied at first, but was allowed to do so for the first time yesterday. | Why in the world would the NFL not allow a coach to wear a suit on the sideline. That is absolutely absurd.
