| Would the OLD SWC be a BCS conference? In honor of Arkansas week here is a hypothetical for yall....
If the old Southwestern Confrence still existed would it be a BCS conference?
The members were(with current conference):
Arkansas(SEC)
Baylor(Big 12)
Houston(Conf USA)
Rice(Conf USA)
SMU(Conf USA)
Texas(Big 12)
Texas A&M(Big 12)
TCU(Mountain West)
Texas Tech (Big 12)

| You bet it would. That list is better than the Big East and just about as good as the Big 12. Pluse it would be a BCS conference because you have big time schools in Texas, Arkansas, Texas A&M and Baylor. |

| I saw Oklahoma mentioned as being in the SWC in another thread and thought that sounded wrong. However, after researching it, they were a member of the SWC... from 1915 through 1919.
