| | I'm Your Huckleberry | SEC Defense You will get very little argument from me about the SEC being the toughest conference from top to bottom in the country. However, in most of the Cal threads, it appears that most UT fans think Cal will be surprised by the level of defense they will face on Sep 2.
After watching GA get shredded by West Va last year, I am beginning to wonder about this shock and awe associated with the defense in the SEC. It is a defensive conference, and it is the toughest in the nation, but I am just not buying into the mystique. |

| | VN GURU | ha, that sugar bowl was a total fluke. they were just a bunch of speedsters from west virginia who ran all around gergia in the first quarter. other then the first 17 minutes, the score was 35-10. georgia got caught on their heels early, and steve slaton destroyed them early. that like the capital one bowl, were cases of teams not being prepared. |

you have to bring up a game where i cant find an excuse.
i will help you out and say auburn wisconson. i can't get a good argument for that. i do hold my ground on the other games.
and even if miami does have a suspect offense, 3 points is still a great defensive game. |

| | Let there be BEER | What is very scary is that WV was running a successful spread offense version. A QB and RB who could read the DB's.
Something that UM is "supposed" to have mastered.
I know this has nothing to do with CAL, but think about it. WV ran ALL OVER the UGA defense.

| | smh | That is something to think about.
Then again, most well-designed non-trick offenses work well with just one key ingredient: execution. |

| | Let there be BEER | No matter how it is....WV was running a spread offense against a fast SEC defense and ripped them to shreds.
Although I think the QB was a little more bolder than most, WVsure seemed to have the spread down pat. What could be done??
