Talking Jimmy Clausen Bust or Not

Ok from what ive heard the kid is really good....but after doing some research i found out the kid went to a "PRIVATE CATHOLIC SCHOOL" and i dont know about you but i dont think a private school is seeing any good talent like HOOVER High ....his high school had only 800 kids my school has 1000 we are div-2 so i cannot see how someone can say the kid is the real deal...come on how many black athletes gonna be at a catholic private school...not races but if your not playing black guys you are not playing harsh competition....i just think this kid is way to overhyped...what do yall think? anyone beg to differ ...anyone have connections that have seen him play in a good competitive division

Once you travel outside the Catholic-less south, then you will encounter plenty of Catholic schools and private schools with incredible talent. Apparently you have never heard of De la Salle from California
Notable De la Salle Alum:
Maurice Drew
Kevin Simon
Amani Toomer
D.J. Williams

HOOVER has Chad Jackson and...?

First off, welcome to McCoy 5 LB and RoanokeVol1. I really don't know anything about the school that Clausen went to, but Father Ryan HS in Nashville is a private Catholic school and has several black athletes.

Clausen's school has a couple other big time d-1 prospects. I can't think of their names now but one is a tailback.

I think Jimmy is the real deal. I don't think all of the recruiting services, as well as the big time schools that recruited him, all missed.

The tailback is Wendell Tyler's son. And I think there are a couple other pro player's sons on that team too. Jimmy may be the real deal, but I look at it this way. Casey was a highly coveted QB coming out of high school and he came across to me as nothing more than competant. If at one time I had Kelley Washington on one side, Donte Stallworth on the other, and Eric Parker in the slot, I am pretty sure my 5'8" arse could have racked up some yards.

have you not seen the D-1 talent at Jimmy Clausen's school? The school is Oaks Christian and they have multiple D-1 players. Go to scout.com and take a look at how many there are.

I think Clausen will do well in college, but I have a hard time believing he starts all 4 years, considering the QBs Weis landed before him.
