Pre Season football in general

are there too many pre season games?

i think so...they serve no real purpose, at least to have 4-5 of them. i think you could accomplish the same things with 2-3 games.

Plus, after the 1st quarter, they are dreadful to watch...

Eh... the big gripe seems to be with guys getting injured, but that could happen anywhere. Really dunno what they could do.

yeah, injuries can happen anywhere, and they will happen, that's just a fact of football...but to have them in a pre season game that means absolutely nothing to the starters, just seems to be a waste.

the pre season games are there for one reason, at least on reason from a football standpoint, is to find out who can play and who can't from the new guys...the 2nd and 3rd games the starters may use those as warm ups to get timing down and test some things, but all in all, they are not very valuable to the starters, only detrimental if they get hurt....

4 games is too much. just cut it down to 2 games and and keep the regular season the same. I would disagree about the game being boring after the 1st quarter. Last night was a good example. Andrew Walter and Tavaras Jackson were fun to watch.

College may benefit from a preseason game.

I think they should cut it down to two games instead of four. Less chances for injuries and coaches pretty much know who is going to make the final cut by then.

I think 3 are enough.

2 are important for playing purposes but maybe 3 is too much as well
