| Darren Clarke, Easy E, Vijay and Payne Stewart are the only over 40 year olds I see that have won since O'Meara's run in 98. I might have missed one or two, but that's 4 out of like 56. Yeah, it's real common. |

| | Stylin' and Profilin' | Furthermore, pro golf is much deeper now than it was in 2000. There are so many young guys capable of winning majors - DJ, Bubba, Fowler, Rory, McDowell, Day, Keegan, etc. - plus your Kuchars and Strickers and Luke Donalds who are always a threat to get hot on the right week and grind one out. And seasoned vets like Vijay, Phil, Furyk. As good as Rory is, and I think he's clearly the best in the world right now, I would put his career majors over/under at 6.5. |

| i never said Tiger was totally washed up, I even mentioned he'll have chances. But I'm not ready to put him in as a favorite for every major. I'm not even ready to make him a favorite when he's in the top five after Friday. You though, talked about how all sorts of pros are winning majors past and most of their tour wins after they turn 40. But they don't. |

I know. Still doesn't negate the fact that Fowler has been dismal in majors. Is he capable of winning one? Sure he is, but it's more likely he will never win one GIVEN the level of competition out there right now. |

I was stating a fact. That's all | no, I just didn't see any relevance to the topic. I've never stated that old farts can't win majors, it happens, it just doesn't happen that often. Quote:

Given Fowler's talent and abilities plus his young age, I think it's highly likely he gets at least one. |
