What do you mean? Monty is Scottish & Westwood is English. Both got more money than me or you playing a game for a living. Neither have a major just came close.

Hard to say. In their prime both are tough & on any given day a great golfer can beat anybody.

Montey is the better golfer. In an MMA fight I would say Lee Beats him easy.

Another idiot comparison thread

Does this clown know that Montgomerie is much older than Westwood?

Right now Westwood is the best player. Overall, they're about the same

No it's not. AT this point, it's Westwood. Montgomerie hasn't been relevant for a few years.

If you're talking overall careers, you probably are spot on, except that Montgomerie never stayed near the top of the world rankings as long as Westwood has these past couple of years

Really?

Of course I'm talking full careers. Mainly I was thinking of all of those years leading Order of Merit. Their US careers have been fairly similar even though Monty never won here.

He was never #1 in the world, but I'd bet he was in the top 5-10 for a long while.

I think 2Iron was saying at this point (March 6, 2012) Westwood>Montie, but if it's a career comparison they're pretty equal.

No, actually I don't, but still miles more than YOU

The reason I called it an idiot comparison is because of the manner in which you worded the comparison. It would have been more appropriate to ask who had the better career at Westwood's current age since Montgomerie and Westwood are a generation apart.
