| | Senior Member | That is what the minor leagues get for having scab umpires instead of doing right by the real umps. Prospects like Delmon Young should not be subjected to having to deal with guys whose real job is being the day shift manager at Wendy's. These guys are so pathetic the leagues won't even release their names. They're incompetent scabs. They get what they deserve. |

| | Bleating Minion | No way . . . Go watch the video and the force with which he threw the bat. It's pure assault.
It was a questionable strike call, but it was nothing you don't see guys get rung up for everyday. |

| | Senior Member | people throw stuff at others all the time, still dont ban the kid for life cause of it. I can think of ALOT worse things that players are doing and getting away with. I dont see you calling for anyones had who is breaking the law taking imported illegal substances to enhance their game. The kid makes one mistake and you want them to end his whole career? seriously??

| | Senior Member | I can keep going on and on about this one. So we should also lifetime ban pitchers who consistenty pitch on the inside leading to hiting the batter. that can lead to serious injury and we dont want none of that. Also while we are at it, we need to ban every manager that has been tossed out of a game and has let his emotions get the best of him. I have seen some of them pick up plates and thrown them around, can't be having that either...
my point is, baseball is a very emotional sport and even though this kid has done wrong, you dont ban him for making one mistake.
