Not bad. Was it me, or was UCONN the most joyless team you've ever seen in the tournament? I know it's not easy being the favorite, but their body language was comparable to guys being sent to work in the salt mines.

They were pretty excited at the end of regulation, but yeah they were emotionless. They looked like they expected to walk through the game.

O, btw, hows about that awesome Big East? 0 bids so far to the Final 4 while the lowly SEC already has 1 and could get another. It could be 1 and 1 or 0 and 2, but either way it looks like the SEC may have been a little underrated.

They seemed to think that the entire tournament. That attitude is why they get to watch the Final Four on TV.

This is the main reason why I am glad they are out. UConn never seemed to have that much of a work ethic, and tried to get by on just talent. They didn't play for Calhoun, they played for themselves and that's pretty unfortunate. Great win by Mason, the team that wanted it more than UConn finally won it.

I can point you to posts from around Thanksgiving and Christmas where I said UF and LSU were very good. The fact they're doing well doesn't mean Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, and Georgia weren't lousy. For example, do you think any of those teams could beat Louisville, Cincinnati, or Notre Dame on a neutral floor? Those are the comparable finishers in the Big East. When you talk about leagues, you're talking about depth.

Depth, yet you don't point out the fact that the Big East has 16 teams while the SEC has only 12.

You point out OM, MSU, AU, and UGA and compare them to UL, UC, and ND. Hows about Depaul, St. Johns, Providence, and South Florida. It is pretty easy to win an argument when you skew all of your points to fit your argument.

4 teams from the Big East finished with a record of under .500 while only 2 from the SEC did.

I'm not skewing anything. I'd take any of those teams, except South Florida, against any of the SEC teams at the bottom on a neutral floor. St. John's, until Darryl Hill got hurt, was playing solid basketball. DePaul had some nice wins. Providence is probably on the same level as the SEC teams, but I think Tim Welsh is a better coach than the guys running the botton feeders in the SEC, with the possible exception of Dennis Felton. South Florida is wretched, but they did beat the G'Town team that took Florida to the buzzer handily. Also, you point makes no sense. If the 12 best teams in the Big East are collectively better than the 12 SEC teams, what does it matter how good the bottom for BE teams are? The fact that the bottom of the SEC isn't clearly superior to the bottom of the Big East proves my point.

Did you see the nonconference schedules Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, and Georgia played? Bearden Middle School would have played .500 ball against those slates.

Would those be seeds handed out by the same committee that said UT was a #2?

You have no proof to backup your point. You'd take those 3, since you won't touch USF. I'd take the 4 from the SEC. It is opinionated so you can't win.

My point is that with 16 teams you have a better chance of having upper tier teams then 16. Especially when 2-4 of those teams were drafted from another conference.

I'm not making fun of those seeds, I'm just pointing out that the lower seeded SEC team is spanking the higher seeded Big East team.
