Assuming Suter doesn't return (at this point, I'm not too optimistic), I'd love to see the Preds go after Jason Garrison from the Panthers. Matt Carle/Sheldon Souray would work too.

Preds bring back Gaustad. 4 yrs 13 mil. Over payed for him, but we have a huge amount of money to spend. We can still throw huge money at Suter and Weber and have money to still add some.

Toots has taken a contract with Detroit 3 years - 1.9 per year.

Ironically, McGratten resigned today for 1/600k.

Suter & Parise both to Minnesota. 13 years $98mil

Preds beat writer said Nashville offered 13/90.

I personally think a 13 year contract is way over the top. Although I admit to be ignorant on how they pay or could be ended.

I know he wants to be close to his family but this is brutal. I think we have to trade Weber now.

David Poile is devastated, and supposedly never got the opportunity to match the Wilds offer.

One of the few times he wasn't delivering cliche positive lines. He was visibly upset.

Either sign Weber long term within the next couple of weeks or trade him to the highest bidder. We can't afford to let Weber walk next year for nothing in return.

I think we are still approximately $22mil from the cap floor. It has to go somewhere. Another defenseman, extend Weber's deal, and a top 6 forward?
