Kid was told to sit on the floor during a mid term exam by the teacher, an avid Steeler fan, and even allowed other students to throw things at him.....

Isn't it a little early for midterms? Didn't school just start back a few weeks ago?

Guess they have those 6 week grading periods.

We have a teacher at our school from Pittsburgh, and has those horrible towels everywhere, so about 6 of us all bought denver shirts and wore them to his class, and hung signs up saying "Lets go Broncos". He wasnt in a very good mood until monday rolled around.

Oh and there are things like this all the time, one year there was a Browns/ Steelers game on, and a kid wore a Browns jersey in a pittsbugh school, and the teachers made him remove it saying it was a disruption.

I'll try to find the article, but its pretty old.

yeah, there are some ridiculous Steeler fans out there...i'll be the first to admit it...my wife is from there, and i've had the liberty to go to several games the past few years including a couple of playoff games....they take it VERY seriously....reminds me a lot of Big Orange Nation, but without the Pittsgurgh accent...there's a few nuts in every batch....i just thought this was so out there, i couldn't resist posting it....

and i didn't read it, it was reported on one of the sports radio shows here in Charlotte, so i dont' have a source or anything....

truth be known, if i were that kid's dad, i'd be suing the school system and the teacher right now.

Here in Chattanooga, one of the hosts on the local SportsTalk show is a big Steeler fan. I tune in Monday afternoon expecting the show open to be a radio highlights montage from the Florida game. WRONG it's a Steelers montage, and then the whole group goes on to talk about the Steeler game for the next twenty minutes. Who the hell down here cares!? An entire opening segment and not one word about the biggest UT hoops win in years! Disgusting...

Sounds like a joke that went a little too far. Although it probably did teach the kid a lesson in what happens when you act like a smart alleck in front of the wrong crowd.

I understand what you are saying, but don't tell me that kid showed up at school wearing a Bronco shirt just to show off his team pride. He was obviously trying to get a rise out of some people.

Not saying he deserved to get humiliated by a teacher, but he had to know that he was going to catch some flack.
