| | VN GURU | Now it gets interesting...
Steelers @ Colts
One thing to say. Colts win the SuperBowl.
Pats @ Broncos
Only an idiot would pick against the Pats. I, OWH, am an idiot. Broncos put it all together, with points from offense.. defense... and special teams.
Al Wilson moves on.
Panthers @ Bears
Great "D" versus great "D". Usually, this is when an offensive game breaks out. Not this time. Panther "D" smothers an offense that is really not playoff worthy. Panther "O" gets just enough from Dell-Homey to move on....
Redskins @ Seahawks
The battle royal of the weekend. The matchups are mesmerizing. Too close to call, so I'm gonna go with the team that doesn't have to fly 3000 miles. Apologies to you 'skins faithful for not drinking the koolaid, but I like what I see from the 'hawks....
OK, anybody else... |

I'm gonna be the bad guy here and pick the Steelers, they're peaking now, while I believe the Colts have seen they're best already. The Steelers running game will keep Peyton on the sidelines, running the clock. Steelers win 34-24
Pats@Broncos
Last time they met the Pats gave up 180 yards rushing....this game is in Denver. Broncos win 27-20
Panther@bears
This game being played in Chicago is the only reason they win, but they do. Bears win 16-10
Redskins@Seahawks
I think the skins travel about as well as a backseat of 8 year olds asking ''are we there yet'' every 10 minutes, that and Shawn Alexander running the ball great I see a seahawks win. Seahawks win 20-13

Could be close, might be close... Colts by 10+.
Patriots/Broncos
I look for no less than 3 Plummer INT's in this one. Patriots by 7.
Panthers/Bears
Panthers pitch another shutout. Panthers by 13.
Redskins/Seahawks
Actually think this one will be pretty close, with the Seahawks pulling it out, by 3 or so.

| | Senior Member | COLTS get the W, already beat up on the steelers once this year and they are well rested... dangerous
Can't pick against the Pats, they win and Tom Brady has a big game
Panthers @ Bears
Maybe the best game of the weekend, Bears D forces 1 or 2 delhomme int's, but they get the run game going and it's basically just a matter of whether or not the bears offense can get even 1 big play
Redskins @ Seahawks
Skins D keeps up the good work, force 3rd and longs ad some turnovers, keep working portis and brunell keeps the game under control... skins win |

| | Senior Member | Colts over Steelers: Colts "D" and the passing game beat the Steelers again. This time 27-17!
Denver over Pats: Denver tough to beat at home and take out the Pats 27-21.
Carolina over Chicago: Both have good defenses, but the Bears don't have much of an offense and will not hold Carolina under 17. Bears hardly score over 21. Carolina 17, Bears 14.
Seattle over Washington. Skins offense inconsistent even though the "D" is good now. Seattle may not have won a playoff game since 1984, but that changes this weekend. Seattle 24, Washington 14.
Colts and Seahwaks in the SUPER BOWL and Peyton and Co win it all!

Now, I'm not going to say that the Skins are going to hammer the Hawks but it could happen. The Seattle Defense is not Tampa Bay and the Skins defense have the potential to keep Alexander in check. I mean, we have already beat the Seahawks once this year. |

| | Steeler Six Pack! | This weekend is going to be great....
I really want the Pats out of it....that said, it's hard seeing them losing this weekend. Plummer is the key for the Broncos. He can't make stupid mistakes against their D, and that running back by committe for the Broncos will be huge in keeping Brady and co. off the feild....but thin air, very passionate crowd....but pats been there before....i was at Heinz Feild last year....tough crowds don't bother them. Pats 23 Broncos 14.
Seahawks and Skins....tough one...would like to think that the skins offense last week was the exception, not the rule. Having said that, the Hawks Offense was definitely the best in the NFC this year, and Sean A. didn't get 28 TD's by accident. Hawks 31 Skins 20
Steeler and Colts....there's a big part of me that thinks the Colts may be done. they didn't exactly light it up those last three games, starters not playing not withstanding, and the distractions they've had to deal with the past few weeks...not to mention, the pressure is all on them. they got homefeild, they got the best record, etc, etc, etc.....and they did kill the Steelers last time....all sets up for the Steelers, who are playing VERY well on D, and the offensive line and RB's are doing some work....that said, the Steelers secondary is definitely a weakness, and they've been comitting a bunch of stupid penalties lately....awh, man. Colts win 34-24.
Panthers and Bears...this really should be the game of the week, and if you like D, then you'll love this game. I have to think that they Panthers won't give the Bears 4 turnovers, and 10 points off of them, this time around, and they have to score more than 3 points. I don't think Foster will repeat his past two games running, but he should be effective out of the backfeild with some screens to slow down the pass rush....(Jake can't get sacked 8 times again and the Panthers win) i think he has a good day receiving and average day running....something like 60-70 yards rushing and another 50-60 receiving. either way, they need 100+ yards one way or another from Foster to win. Smith always has big play potential, and look out for drew carter and ricky proehl on 3rd down. Panthers in a close one 17-13, they win the turnover battle this time....
what a great weekend, can't wait.

Hawks 31 Skins 20 | Having lived in Boulder, I would have to say that the biggest thing that could slow the Pats down is the high altitude. It's tough to play at Denver. It takes your lungs and the rest of your body at least a week to get used it. So how's that for a prediction, Pats lose because of altitude.
As for the Skins, I hope you're wrong. Personally, I think the Skins will win it by 7, but I'm biased. :biggrin2: |

| | Steeler Six Pack! | ACtually, i'll be rooting for the Skins....if they win and the Panthers win, well, the NFC champ game is right down the road from here....it would be awesome....
and i've been to Denver a few times...it does take a bit of getting used to...plus the air is so dry....gave my sinuses hell.

Pats @ Broncos- BRONCOS 27-24 (OT) Broncos surpise the Pats at home.
Pathers @ Bears- BEARS 24-20 Grossman will get the offense goin aginast the jekyll and hyde panthers.
Skins @ Seahawks- SEAHAWKS 30-20 Gotta pick against ur Skins for the second week in a row OWB. Skin's D is good but not that good. Seahawks Offense has been on a roll as of late.
