Everybody calls the "power rack" the squat rack. Ours is more complexed than the one you took a pick of. The "squat rack" you showed looks like something cheap you buy at your local sporting goods store. I think he meant smith machine when he said "safety rack".

That was just clarifying. I know squat rack is ubiquitous but that's what they actually are.

That's what I called it before I knew what a Smith machine was, so it kinda stuck.

My old gym had all three: power, squat, and smith machine. Guess that's why I refer to it as a power rack.

My new gym doesn't have one, which sucks. Love that thing.

Same with me (but with my current gym). And I use all 3 on the reg (not for curls).
