[b]He would have to have a good team around him. He doesnt have the talent like some to just pick the team up with him. |
Joey Harrington's biggest problem is his complacency. They filled his head up with delusions of grandure in Detroit before he ever accomplished anything. This caused him to become a little too narcissistic in his approach, and his work ethic severly suffered.
After the Motor City Kitty's signed Jeff Garcia, Joey started to turn it up a notch because Jeff was pushing him. When Jeff went down, Joey went right back to his same old lazy ways. In Williams, he has one of the future premier recievers. The problem is, he has such limited recognition skills, he can't get him the ball often enough. He's not near mobile enough to scramble well in the NFL.
This would force other less self involved QB's to study more film and better learn how to read the various blitz packages and coverage schemes thrown at them. Not Joey, he think's he can still ride on the accolades thrown his way when he first signed with Detroit.
Until there is another QB in Detroit than can really push him, Joey Harrington will just be another wannabe star.
Now, Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay...... That's a star in the making!
