What are the real chances that the Yuckee's are serious about signing Nomar to play first base. Why would anyone in their right mind try to replace last years comeback player of the year with the most over paid bust in the last several years.

There's no way they really want to replace Giambi. Their just trying to drive up the price on any competition.

Screw the Yankees. It's time for a salary cap in MLB, I'd bet that New York would be awful when Steinbrenner can't spend half a billion dollars on a baseball team.

Yuckees? Is that bias from an umpire?

I actually like baseball the way it is now... it pleasures me a great deal to see Steinbrenner pay an arm and a leg for an all-star at every position and still lose in the playoffs.

He doesn't seem to grasp that they were an actual TEAM when they were winning those World Series' in the 90s with TEAM guys like Brosius, Martinez, Bernie, O'Neil, and Jeter.

Well, I guess you caught me. If I ever got a chance to call a Yuckee's game, I'd stick to em' every chance I got.

In your assessment of the Pin Heads in pin stripes, you forgot to mention Chuck - I can't catch a cold - Knoblach.

You all must bow down to the yankees. In time you will call them master.

I hope they don't sign him. I like the Yankees, and don't know that I could with Nomar on the team.

Tim, looks like I'd have to call that game with you to even out your "I hate the Yukees" calls!!! :pimp:

Not a chance, Darien. I have tenure, so I'll get the plate. That makes me the UIC, and you will bow to my judgement calls!

You've got that right.

I can only wish to be that ineffective with that much money.

Has anyone here got to experience the slums around the stadium? The stadium is great, but the locations is pretty bad. I'm not sure where the new stadium is going. Does anyone know?

The new stadium is scheduled to open for the 2009 season. It's going to be located just north of the old stadium between 161st street and 164th street.
