Todd Parrott named crew chief for #43 Dodge

Looks like Petty Enterprises is getting serious about this racing stuff...

LEVEL CROSS, N.C. – Petty Enterprises has always been "Home of Champions," but perhaps never as much as today.

NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series champion Todd Parrott has been named crew chief for the No. 43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge team and driver Bobby Labonte. Robbie Loomis, Executive Vice President of Operations and a NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series champion himself, made the announcement.

he won a championship with dale jarrett.

petty just hasnt had any luck since he climed out of the 43.

As a Dale Jarrett fan, this sucks....i was so happy they paired those two back up again....and won Dega to boot...thought it would be a sign of things to come....

oh well....

It may take time to get it together but this should be a strong pairing for the future.

That's a bit of a shocker to be honest. I thought sure he'd stay put with DJ and try to get the 88 back up front again. That is a smart move for the Pettys though.
