That Chris Davis contract may end up being the worst of all-time.

In 57 games this season he's slashing:
.150/.227/.227 with 86 strikeouts.

Today Barry Trotz compared a hockey playoff series to jumping in a swimming pool and having to drown the other person to get out, which is a spectacularly good analogy.

Did anybody see what Joe Maddon did today. He brought in Cishek he faced 1 batter than pulles his LF and put his pitcher in left. He then brought in Duensing he faced 1 hitter then they switched Cishek pitched and Duensing played LF then he pulled Cishek put Duensing back on the mound and put Contreras out in LF

There's a bar in Baltimore offering free shots, I think for the rest of this month, for every Chris Davis hit.

There was a team that did this for awhile back in the 80s. Maybe the Mets? I’m pretty sure it ended when a ball got hit out there.
