Saudi Arabia said Tuesday it intercepted a ballistic missile south of its capital fired by a rebel group in neighboring Yemen, raising regional tensions amid Saudi claims that Iran is supplying the rebel fighters with weapons.

The missile incursion marked the second time the rebels, known as Houthis, had targeted Riyadh since early November as part of retaliation for Saudi-led attacks seeking to break the rebel grip on parts of Yemen.

Saudi reshuffles top military posts, adds a woman deputy minister | Reuters

The way Saudi Arabia is run has seen major changes under 32-year-old Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who rocketed to the heights of power from near obscurity after his father became king following the death of King Abdullah in 2015 and is pushing big economic and social reforms.

He is popular with many Saudi youths, who make up the vast majority of the population, but has irked some with his unconventional approach, including a palace coup last summer in which he pushed out his cousin to become heir to the throne.

Saudi analyst Ahmed al-Towayan, speaking on Saudi state television, said the new appointments were “pumping young blood” into local government while elevating young commanders into top military posts.

Didn't Kushner in one of his first acts go over there and make a $110 billion weapons contract? Did that go through?

Energy Secretary Rick Perry will fly to London this week to discuss a nuclear cooperation agreement with senior officials from Saudi Arabia, which is planning to build two reactors along the Persian Gulf, according to an administration official.

The meeting in London comes shortly before a scheduled visit to the United States by the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Wonder if we will sell them any enriched Uranium?

This was from June 6th.
The U.S. State Department approved the sale of $1.4 billion in military training and equipment to Saudi Arabia as part of a larger arms deal signed by President Trump in May, the Pentagon announced Monday. Prior to his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia last month, Trump sanctioned a deal spearheaded by his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, that would provide the nation with around $110 billion in defense items such as tanks, fighter planes, combat ships, and precision-guided bombs over the next ten years.

Wonder what is going on over there? I knew Kushner and the Administration was trying to negotiate nuclear power plants over there before the elections. I believe or maybe that was flynn in Turkey. IDK but back to the sale of arms and the military shakeup. Wasn't there a money grab from some of the elites over there recently? Do you think that could be tied to a major change of philosophy for the military? Trying to figure it out.
