I was watching. The context also included the team meeting. The quote cannot be interpreted to mean CBJ was speaking about Hurd.
There are 2 sides to every story but everyone is piling on Hurd, comparing him to Kelly Washington among other things. If his NFL potential lies at a different program then I say go. Lots of people on here demand unwavering loyalty from these players regardless of what it means to their futures. As if no one on this board left a job for a better opportunity - get over yourself Fingers.
Actually--I was watching, too! And CBJ's obvious inference was that NOW--in light of the team meeting and Hurd's leaving--that team chemistry would improve...
Another person asked Jones if HURD was in the team meeting soon after this question and Jones said yes...
Jones was clearly implying that team chemistry would improve now that HURD was gone. :salute:
Is that confirmed? That he refused to go back in? Honest question, not calling you out.
The Vols on Sunday night had a team meeting with coaches, and in that meeting, per sources present, Hurd was called out by teammates after Hurd did not play in the second half of Tennessees 24-21 loss at South Carolina. The meeting was not open to the Vols' entire roster, per sources, but instead limited to the coaching staff and only players on the Vols' standard travel squad.
Per multiple people within the football program, Hurd was medically cleared to re-enter the contest.
