So, where will we play our bowl game? We'll find out in a few weeks- but a Florida game would be GREAT for me! Go Vols

progress being made..

bowl game 2 years in a row first time since 2006-07

three wins in a row today, first since 2010..

win four next week equals first since 2010

win # five versus Vandy and first since 2007

Win bowl game and first 6 win streak since 2003

then when we knock off Appy State in first game next year, 7 in a row first time since 2001..

progress being made. doesn't mean Atlanta next year but progress. Quicker progress than when Coach Majors returned

Tennessee could beat Missouri 14-7 with how poor the Missouri offense is.

Missouri is by far and away the worst team in the East. There game against UCONN was horrific. Vandy and UGA were hard on the eyes as well. Add in the "boycott" and the unfortunate news about their coach, and we will beat Mizzou by 3 TDs.

After watching the last 7 quarters of football I don't think they will win the last 2. I'd like to see a 7-5 UT team playing Memphis in the Liberty Bowl. Never happen I know.

I'd rather not face this year's memphis team. Don't think we'd fair well.

Very well said.

As for OP ?? about which bowls. Most likely Outback vs. Penn State, Wisconsin or NW ... Texas Bowl vs. West Virginia or Texas Tech... or Belk vs. Pitt, Louisville, Miami, Duke, or NC State.

Disagree. I think they're highly motivated. Last home game for a great coach, senior night, and all the emotion at their school right now. We're headed into a hornets nest IMO. We'd better play our best game of the year or we lose that one.

Michigan would curb stomp us this year.

I'll take the bait.. With extended time to prepare, I think CBJ is up there with any coach in college football. He had an extra week to prepare for bama and almost pulled off the upset. Alabama would Beat UM by 2 tds imo. I'm one of those who knows we can run with any team in the country (this year) when we are focused. UM is no exception, especially with a month to prepare. We tend to play up to our opponents talent level just as well as we play down to them this year.

The Michigan D is looking sooo scary while Indiana is gashing them up and down the field lol.

I would love any of the Florida bowls, but the Outback would be great. I'd even love a return trip to the Gator here in Jacksonville. That was great fun!!
Wouldn't mind the Outback against Penn State. I was there the last time we played them in Tampa.

I would like to see an 8-4 team play in any bowl that want is to.

7-5 at this point, no way I would say I would like that.

Go Vols!

I hope Notre Dame loses we can get them in a bowl game I really want to play them

They'd have to lose and fall enough to take an ACC team's bowl spots (per Notre Dame's agreement with the ACC).

They might have to lose out to fall all the way to one of our "middle pool" of bowls. One loss probably only puts them in a New Year's 6 bowl still. Two...probably no further than the Champs sports bowl. While 3 would get them all the way down into that range...the ACC bowl tie-ins are the Belk and Taxslayer/Music City (they alternate...since Notre Dame played in the Music City last year that means it was an ACC bid...so that probably switches to the Taxslayer Bowl this season). The SEC offices likely aren't going to put us in the Taxslayer two years in a row; it's something they're trying not to do since they took over handling bowl placements.

That's not a gauge of Michigan's D; Indiana's pretty much done that to everyone but one team they've played this year.
