| Treadmill vs. Elliptical My wife and I want to buy either a treadmill or elliptical in the next couple months but can't decide which to go with.
Any suggestions? We want to keep the price between $500 to $800. Could go a little higher on the price but would rather not. |

| | Wave yo hands in the aiya | In that range, you're best served with the elliptical. If you're going to do a treadmill that will be worth owning, given the pounding they take, you gotta spend some money. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| I bought a $5k commercial Nordic Track tread for $1K off of Craigslist.
It is only 2 years old and looks brand new.
Also check fitness stores that take trade ins. |

| That's nice. I wouldn't mind having one of those.

| Up untill recently I prefered an eliptical over a treadmill but with all the bad weather we've been having I've been running on a treadmill. The eliptical puts less stress on our knees.

| I have terrible knees after multiple surgeries, and I swear by my schwinn eliptical. I had a treadmill for a while, but your knees do take a beating with them and I feel like I get a much better cardio workout with the eliptical.
