thanks for sharing that. i would have never have seen this unless it was posted. but it was a truly touching story. a similar situation happened when i won a title in football. my head coaches wife was on her death bed. she had known all of us since we were kids and a few of her final words were go win state. many of us had spent time at her bedside. we were predicted to finish 30th in the state that year. but we ended up winning state undefeated and ranked 10th in the nation. we trained so hard for her and the game was played in the snow on astroturf. we did the impossible and won for her and the thing that gave me and others chills was a bird flew in to the stadium in a snow storm and came to rest on the goal post in the endzone closest to us. then the bird took off and circled us screeching and then went right back to the goal post. it really felt like she was that bird watching her boys grant her final wish. it was a moment i will never forget.

they should spend more time doing shows like this instead of having 20 shows about the same crap on espn. that was a really good story to watch.

I agree, just imagine if they shared more touching stories like this in the time they spent hyping up the Kiffin-Meyer "rivalry". ESPN could have given us a lot more gems like this story!

indeed. the sports world is not always about comments blown out of proportion to try to boost ratings.
