Had to leave my Bradleys and Better Boys in the care of the deer, opossum and birds while I take a break from mid-TN. My Early Girls were a bit scrawny this year but my pepper plants (mostly sweet bannana) have flourished nicely.

If your tomatos are juicy enough, you can skip the artery spackle.

Currently enjoying Better Boy's, Mr.Strippies, Sweet One hundreds (Tommy Toes), German Queens, and something new to me, some Black Siberians.

Oh, least I forget. Fried green Tomatoes from the German Queens and Better Boy's.

Yes, but then it still requires enough salt to raise your blood pressure 20 points.

I'm one of those pepper people who never uses salt as a condiment. I guess my momma dropped me too many times.

Change it to Wheatberry bread and Miracle Whip and add pepper to have the rbroyles 'mater samich recipe.

As to frying tomatoes, try some that are just turned ripe, still firm. I much prefer to green ones.
