The Air Force ROTC doesn't have a simultaneous membership program... which is too bad given the opportunties at McGee Tyson

Good Luck
No Offense, but I can't do the Army. I grew up around Marines, and became one myself. I just have zero desire to be a soldier. I did talk to the ROTC guys at orientation, but I liked what I learned from the Air Force better.

To be honest, I'm only going to reenlist if I can be a fighter pilot or a PJ.

none taken

I don't think you will know if your going to get a flying slot, when you sign your contract for AFROTC...

I'm pretty sure those slots are earned based on several test scores and other factors as you complete the commissioning program

If I don't go on to a comission, at least I can get on the color guard and have a primo seat for football games.

i was in north carrick last year and our RA had no problem with beer. we actually drank with him on numerous occasions. at the beginning of the year he got all mad about it and tried to be tough on us, but i think after a while he just decided to be honest with himself and admit that there was really nothing wrong with us drinking.

plus he was getting free beer out of the deal

it depends on the RA. one of my friends was in north carrick, a few floors down, and his RA found a empty case of beer in the trash room, and had a special floor meeting to tell everyone how upset he was. it was funny cause it was my friend and his roommate's beer

but if your in your late 20's, your past tap dancing "authority figures" to have a beer. hell even if your past the age of 21 your over jumping through hoops to have a beer. i certainly would not want to be in my late 20's sneaking a backpack full of beer by the front desk.

When I was in Hess years and years ago, we never had problems with our RA. I only saw him a couple times all semester. He came in one night while I was breaking up a bag of weed I just bought. He couldn't have cared less.

It just depends on who the person is. Hopefully it's an older person looking for a free ride to finish up school. He'll have enough going on in his own life that he wont care what's happening in the dorms.

Agreed. The only time we really got in trouble in N. Carrick is when we got hammered drunk & went behind the little kids trick or treating in S. Carrick when they had the doors open. Even then it was the female R.A. in the Vault that got all mad at us. Oh yeah, and one other time we had a keg party in our room that got a bit out of hand & our R.A. had to act tough because the campus cops got called.

So if that sounds mildly amusing to you at 27 I say go for it.....if not, get yourself an apartment stat!
