Anyone live in the Brentwood area???

I just moved down here and know the area well, I just have no clue where to watch games and such at. I don't really drink, but I don't mind watching them at bars and such.

The Cross Corner in the Brentwood Place shopping center on Franklin Rd. (where Kroger's is) and the Emabssy Suites lounge (forgot the name) in Cool Springs are two others. You also have what used to be called Church Street Pub accross Church from the Royal Thai, but I have not been in there in a couple of years and do not know what they have in terms of televisions these days. Last weekend I tried a new place in Melrose (Melrose Pub) which is a few miles north of Brentwood on Franklin Rd. and it was pretty good with lots of screens. If you do not mind the traffic of Green Hills, the Crow's Nest on Bandywood is a good newish spot.

i live in brentwood and there is really no good bars here, but if i were to pick a place, longhorns (new one off old hickory blvd.) has a bunch of TVS at their nice bar. I think o charleys in maryland farms has some as well. if you want to get real red you could go to marathons or hogwild in nippers corner 2 miles down old hickory.

Ditto Cross Corners, if it's anything as good as it used to be.

Didn't know about Longhorns, it could become an interesting place since they closed the one between Broad and West End out about 19th Ave, (never could remember the name of that st) which is where lots of entertainment people liked to hang out.

That Longhorn off West End is now a Pie in the Sky Pizza. I actually drove past it on Saturday, but it was closed so I tried the new Melrose Pub.

Try "Losers" just around the corner from the old Longhorn.

For the best bartender in Nashville, Kathy, try the place on the left going out, just after Division where Broad ends and 21st comes in (great Italian dining) and then South Street up the street behind them is cool too, sort of like an oyster bar but none of those are sports bars although a lot of heavy duty Vol fans hang out in the afternoon at the juncture of Broad and 21st.

Where is this "Melrose Pub"?? Is that the downstairs pool room below what used to be the Sutlers?? Went by there a while back and we played at their new (at least to me) full length shuffleboard table.

Melrose Pub is accross the street from the strip that houses the Gold Rail & Cue, which may now be called Melrose Biliards or something along those lines. It is in the same building where The Chute used to be located, but I can assure you that the clientele is very different. It's basically a long bar with big wooden booths going down the far wall. They have an area with a pool table and a few other games in the back. Smoking outside only. They said there was a patio out back but I did not look for it. Probably somewhere from 8-12 decent sized television monitors mounted throughout. The food was okay. The bartender told me they will have 2-4-1 on Thursdays from 4-close. The high powered dryer in the men's room was not working. The walls were brick and concrete as I recall so it will probably be quite loud during busy times. I thought it was a decent enough place as places go.

Unlike the Sutler, which I kind of miss because owner Johnny Potts went out of his way to feature Americana acts, the Melrose Pub does not plan to have live music.
