Good call on Cnet... also AVSForum has a broad base of interested audio/videophiles that should be familiar with any type of device you are looking at.

Also, a plasma isn't a "tube" technically speaking. |

Just my experience but I would choose plasma again and again.

| Thanks for everyones advice and insight.
I wish i new what was that matter with the sony tv. My daughter turned it off the other day and now it will not come back on, the power standby light flashes four times then three times. The manual says that it is a service code and to seek a qualified sony tech. The TV is still in great shape, would like to put it in a bedroom. Any of you guru's got advice on what could be the problem with it?

Truly a great resource for getting AV product info. | I'm a regular there in their PS and XBOX boards. Some good folks over there. I always hit up their displays boards when I'm shopping for something new or helping others make a choice. Lots of geeks that love talking about their toys. |

| Get the Elite, and look for somebody in your area that does ISF calibrations. You will not be disappointed. Also, Pioneer Elite has pretty much the best manufacturer warranty evar. They cover everything. So don't worry about it.
I almost want to say that it's inarguable that the Elites are the best TV displays available to consumers anywhere. Fujitsu, as mentioned, is close, but their products have had a long history of unreliability. And they're hard to find. And expensive.
