| | smh | I don't think there are any of the same grocery stores out there that there are out here. Except maybe Wal-Mart. Safeway, Albertsons and Fred Meyer are the big ones. |

| Hampton Roads, VA area has Farm Fresh. Best out there. Harris Teeter was nice, but overpriced compared to Farm Fresh. Great selection, great beef, chicken, pork, seafood. Plus they have a giant salad bar, fresh soups made daily, and all sorts of other meals. Some of the stores even offer delivery still. Top notch.
Here in the Tri Cities, nothing beats Food City. |

| | May 9, 2014 :) | We don't have krogers here. Harris Teeter is alright, but I normally go with what has the best prices that week in the ad of things I need out of Harris Teeter, Food Lion, and Bi-Lo since that is all we have here. They just built a super-bilo here and it is nice looking. They just opened a whole foods store I think its called, but it was nice, great produce section, meat section, and like pasta salads/salad bar, etc. Not a big store for the actual grocery stuff though. |

| I love Publix, love it! Thankfully Chatt got one not too long ago Fresh market is ok but it does not have everything you need to get through your grocery list. We have a super Bi-lo too and I've been in it once, it's nice too. But Publix is my fav. And their subs are soooooo delicious, wow!

| | VN GURU | The thing with Wal-mart is convienience. Everything at 1 location, studies find consumers want this more than low prices. They have studied you, and thats why they went grocery.

Here in the Tri Cities, nothing beats Food City. | love Farm Fresh! Food Lion is very close and we use it for small trips but our weekly haul is from FF. Harris Teeter does have a better meat selection here in Newport News but my freezer is full most of the year. |

For convenience - we have the west's version of Kroger called King Sooper's. They are owned by Kroger.
For organic stuff - Whole Foods
For $0.99 avocados to make the best guacamole you've ever tasted - This little treehuggerish grocery store called Sunflower Market. |
