| Kids become obsessed too easily. Anyone with a kid under the age of 16 should read this piece. We need to keep our kids unpluged. |

| This kid just has more problems than myspace. Suicide threats should have been a pretty big indicator there. |

If myspace was the glue that held his world together then he has real issues. It is safe to say that he had a real addiction to the computer in general and in particular myspace. It looks as though he wasn't able to deal with that in an appropriate way. |

| Jeez, that is awful. I figure it has to do with being ignored some, but more likely never being made to do anything up to that point.
If you've never had a line drawn before age 15, you'll take it pretty damn hard. That said, when you're talking about killing yourself at 15, thats cause for alarm. But you hear that alot, kids killing themselves over puppy love and such. Maybe i'm too country, as women took a distant 4th place to hunting, fishing, and beer when i was in that age group.
I reckon we have a generation that has grown up on the TV/PC/XBox, and has a much lower ability to function in real life situations, and deal with the stresses that are part of day to day life.

This is so sad and I really feel for their family !
IMO I grew up in the perfect era , born in 60 and a teen in the 70's ! We didn't even have cable tv . We went out to fields in the front and back of our house to play , and about the worst trouble you could get into was non life threatening simple fun ! Playing kick the can and BB till dark , it was good exercise and taught you that winning wasn't everything , but that friendships and family was . Also by learning the ways around any woods taught us survival at it's best . Those days are gone forever but the values can still be taught to our young ones , with a little effort .
