My Favorite Album

It's official. After 13 years of reflection, I've decided that Jar of Flies is tops on my list.

I know this is random, but it's amazing how music can hold so many memories and emotions of your past.

That's exactly what I mean. I have a few CD's/iPod albums that rotate for a while, then fade away and come back around. But, AIC's acoustic masterpiece has stood the test of time for me.

A thought like this is as subjective as it gets, as I believe that 50% of musical worth is put into it by the listener.

I understand what you're saying, but I always come back to the same several albums and my mood does the choosing between them.

Jar of Flies is a good one.

For me, Iggy Pop's New Values has been a consistent favorite of mine since I heard it in the 80's.

Other's at the top:

NRBQ - God Bless Us All and Tapdancin' Bats
Led Zep - Physical Graffitti
Miles Davis - Milestones
Charles Mingus - Ah Um

Did Appetite actually have that many good songs on it? I can think of five, maybe 6. I dont have the playlist in front of me though.

The "Use your Illusions" were better IMO.

Lep's Hysteria is the one for me (some people would say Pyromania , and it's a close 2nd). IMO, Appetite was much better than the Use Your Illusions, but that's just me.

Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker
Bruce Springsteen - Nebraska
I'm with hat on Morrison Hotel
Led Zep - 2
Radiohead - OK Computer
Rage Against the Machine - Evil Empire

those are all somewhere in my top 20 for sure.

Night At The Opera and Sign O' The Times also rate pretty high on my list.

I would also say Jar of Flies if it weren't for Swing On This, which I despise. The other 5 songs are absolutely amazing though.

As for my favorite album, I'll stick with Alice and say Facelift. I could listen to only that every day for the rest of my life and be just fine with it.
