West Memphis 3

Seems there is some exculpatory evidence in this triple murder case. I cannot imagine what kind of hell these then kids must have gone through if they are in-fact innocent. Hopefully, the wheels will spin quickly.

Come on LIO I have spent a LOT of time researching the evidence in this case. I cannot believe it has taken this long. Anyone who looks at the EVIDENCE, not the news reports or newspaper articles, will join me in saying:

Free the West Memphis Three!!!!

I'm not convinced one way or the other, which means that if I'd been on their jury I would've had to vote not guilty if I was doing the job properly under the law. If I am able I will probably tune into their news conference today.

Based on what I heard and read today it seems unlikely that the persons who were convicted actually committed the crime.

I was 12 (I think) when all this happened, and remember it being the first major "real news" story that I followed closely.

It's a shame the celebrity opinions have gained a more popular voice than the evidence at the trial not to mention some admissions by the convicted. Let's all hear it "they were young and too stupid to defend themselves"...

I moved to memphis in the Spring of 2004 and was there two years. While there I heard some people talking about the WM3 and got on the internet and did some research. Then I read the books put out from both sides of the fence. Now coming from someone that served as the Deputy Coroner for a county in NE Alabama for two years, this "witch hunt" was a joke. Let me see if I can post you a link, but bear in mind anything that I post is going to be a long read.

I have both of the Paradise Lost DVDs and have done some research on the net. These guys are either innocent or were there helping the guy that was the mastermind John Mark Byers. He gave the HBO crew that filmed the first film, a pocket knife during the first trial. The knife appeared to have blood on and the turned it over to police. It ended up have his and one of the young boys blood on it. Nothing ever came of that though. There are many more things that would suggest that these guys were framed. After reading that, I am convinced that the step-father killed the boys, but they mentioned finding an African-American's hair on the boys but never follow up on that.

Wasn't the hair supposed to be from whoever washed all the blood off in the bathroom of the fast food place? If memory serves me. There are just so many things that are blatently impossible. I lived in Memphis for two years and you cannot get from the area where he lived to downtown memphis and back, during rush hour, in the amount of time Byars said he did if you had a helicopter!!! And the fact that not one interview is taped or recorded!
