Seriously though... if your neigbor came over and demanded you paid to repair his lawn because water was running off from your yard into his, eroding it... you'd just pay up? | did I leave the water on for like 2 days? it depends on the situation. |

It's an old crazy lady. Her husband doesn't seem to care about any of this at all.

But it is not fact that she needed to take the dog to the vet. She really has no idea if his dog did something, if she does she can't prove it. |

| Tell her to buy your collar system and that you won't pay her vet bills and call it even.
But seriously, that collar system thing sucks. |

| Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of because I had the one where you bury the wire for another Shepherd & he didn't care about it all. But I thought maybe this one would actually work.

| So what do you recommend if the collar doesn't work? I would hate to chain him since he loves to run around & swim everyday, it's the only exercise he gets. I chained my last Shepherd & he built up a lot of energy & the one time he got off to relieve it a car got him. I don't want that to happen to this one. Would neutering calm him down any?

| Is he an inside dog? If so, then anytime he goes out, go out with him. Get him to follow your orders. |

| He's a German Shepherd that comes inside but also loves to run around outside. He's an inside/outside dog?
This is one area that I hate myself for. I've neglected to train him the way I did my last Shepherd. My last one was I trained very well, with this one I just never got out with him & trained like I wish I had so now he doesn't mind when we're outside. I yell "stop" & "no" & he looks at me then turns around & keeps going. I hate myself for letting that happen. With all the responsibility I took with my last one & then he was killed I just didn't want to go through it again. It looks like I'm gonna have to now. He just turned 2 a couple months ago. That's not too old is it?

| Nah he isn't too old to learn. Just going to have to be consistent with him and put the time in. |

| Well I just found out that they're leaving for Daytona in the morning because her sister fell & broke her hip & is real sick. Don't know when they will be back. They're supposed to move to Texas when they sell their house & I hope it's soon. Her & her husband are like night & day. He's nice & will talk to us, doesn't seem to care anything about this stuff & then there's her.

First off, Old 003 needs to do something to keep the dog out of her yard. Invisible fence, a leash, whatever. Do everything you can to make sure that your dog is not a "suspect" whenever something goes down on the neighbor's property. Consider payment of the medical bills a penalty and a learning experience.
Next, once you are sure you have your dog secure on your property, purchase a pellet gun. Whenever the neighbor's dog sets foot on your property, pick it off with the gun.
As far as one of your neighbors buying an electric fence and their dog getting hit by a car anyways, at least it is some sort of protection against it leaving the homefront. Right now you have nothing at all. So getting an invisible fence or a Maginot Line for that matter is better of than nothing at all. |

| It was me that that had the invisible fence & my dog got hit by the car.
I'm kinda getting sick of saying this. I will NOT pay for psychological medicine for their dog. It didn't even need to be taken to the vet. My neighbor didn't tell us she was taking the dog when it happened she just came up a couple days later saying we should pay the bills because her dog was in shock. If there were stitches & physical damage, sure I would pay, but I'm not paying because her dog has mental problems.
