| The Superbowl is on February 6, but that does not have to mean the end of football for enthusiasts. Especially those of us who try to keep up with former Vols in professional football.
Arena Football (AFL) begins as the NFL season ends (Kats first game is Jan 28) and lasts until June. See list of former Vols in the AFL and Kats schedule below.
Week 1 of NFL Europe begins on April 2nd and extends until the World Bowl on June 11th. Rosters have not been made yet
The Canadian Football League (CFL) begins mid-June and lasts through the end of November. Former Vols Jermaine Copeland (Montreal), Tee Martin (Winnipeg), Jonathan Brown (Toronto), and Steven Marsh (Edmonton) all played in the CFL during the 2004 season.
And most importantly, the Tennessee Vols first game is September 3rd against UAB.... the SEC Championship Game is on Dec. 3rd and the Rose Bowl is on Jan. 4th.
The NFL and the Titans usually begin play in September also... until January.
