| Home is always nice after a long vacation. Your own bed, couch and brew. Nice.

| I am going to slow down on the beer for the next month. Or at least I have honest intentions to do so. I am doing a triathlon in four weeks and need to lose weight and get serious about it. Pray for me fellas.

No triathlon for me, but I have another kid showing up in November, and I want to drop a few pounds before then. We did a major backpacking/mountain climbing thing out in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California last year before the Cal game, and as soon as the training for that was over I immediately put on 10-15 pounds -- and it's still there. Would like to get it off before diving back into the two-month abyss of New Baby.
(I of course am drinking a pint even while typing this.) |

| I was in TN this weekend..I hit three grocery stores before I could stock up on a sufficient quantity of Samuel Adams' Summer Ale. Unfortunately, it appears that they are in the process of making their changeover to Octoberfest...which is an OK beer, but it means Summer Ale goes away ... |

| You know I have not tried the summaer ale. I enjoy the octoberfest, a little too strong of an alcohol taste IMO but a good brew.
I need to see if I can find any summer ale to add to my collection.

| Anyone see the budweiser American Ale ads? I will buy a six pack to give it a try. Plus it may be really cheap to start out.
