| I'm not sure about the question and why it matters how companies apply it, but those who are smart will apply it to those processes where outcomes are normally distributed. I would go to statistics text or production operations manuals to figure out how to apply it. Otherwise, you might find some help under some company's six sigma, QC, or black belt programs. | |
