I wake up this morning to a sharp stabbing pain in my side. It hurt so bad I could barely walk. I have my wife rush me to the hospital and surprise surprise I got a kidney stone in my urinary tract. They shot me up with pain killers and told me that I need to wait a few days in hopes that I will pass it.

I have been drinking beer and cranberry juice all day and no luck. The pain sucks but have I got Percocet so it isnt all bad.

I hate Kidney Stones. There isnt a better feeling in the world than having a rat trying to gnaw its way out of your side.<IMG alt=">:" src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif">

you might want to think about drinking more water. i think those stones have less chance of building up and becoming lodged in a urinary tract then.

I hate to tell you this, but beer is one of the worst things that you can drink in your condition. Any sort of alcohol is terrible for someone in your condition. It dehydrates you, causing even more calcium to build up and cause the stones. Your doctor would have a stroke. Stick with the water and cranberry juice. After this bout, keep yourself more hydrated to help keep it from happening again. Also, if you have a friend with a hot tub/jacuzi, see if you can use it. It helps relax the spasms you are having from trying to pass the stone. Therefore less pain, which I am sure you would love.

Good luck lazy4163. I have had a couple of them, just have to wait until they pass. Drink plenty of water. If you catch it in the strainer they gave you, you will be surprised how small it probably is. They do not feel small though.

Oh God those things hurt. I thought I was gonna die one day. Like I was having kidney failure or something.

I told my wife (who's pregnant) and she just said, "pfffffft."

No, really, I hope it passes quickly.

While women do get them, men get them more frequently, and they are the male equivalency of pregnancy/childbirth I am certain.

Sorry to hear it. Since I originally started this thread I have passed so many I got 2 pill bottles full of my own personal gravel. I had to get scar tissue removed from my UT and Bladder back in 2012. I have found that pure Lemon Juice works halping dislogding those that get stuck in your UT.
