The $55k MSRP is for the base model C7...the Z06 and ZR1 models (if they continued to be called that) will be much more expensive. The C6 Z06 is $80k+, and the ZR1 is about $125k.

C7 is supposed to hit the showrooms around September, with a convertible model to follow around 5 months later.

I find the article surprising because the question should always be is it better than the C4? That was the high water mark not just for Corvettes, or sports cars, but human achievement.

We have been on a decline ever since.

It's a '75...the '69s have chrome bumpers on the front and back and "gills" on the side...
