This is Delcardo and he was born with a fairly obvious and life threatening condition. Dr. Waner of the Vascular Birthmark Institute of New York has agreed to do the surgery as a charity and is currently trying to find a hospital to agree to as a charity as well. Delcardo is around 7 months old and is the child of a Haitian earthquake victim. The lady holding him is a missionary from Charleston Tennesee and also helps run an orphanage there sponsored by her church, also in Charleston. I am asking VN members to send an email to Dr. Waner at the Institute with one of the attached pictures on Delcardo's behalf to try to speed up the process. Delcardo is having more and more difficulty breathing and can barely get any liquids down. I honestly fear he doesnt have much time left and because of the poverty in his country he cannot obtain treatment there. They are hoping to bring him back to states saturday to get the life saving operation he desperately needs.
